A fantastic opportunity for a buyer with civil engineering experience looking to be a part of a growing team working on groundwork's project throughout the southern region.

About the role of Buyer

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a family run and well-respected groundwork's and civil engineering contractor with multiple projects ongoing looking to expand their business. Their current turnover is over 10m.

Responsibilities for Buyer

• Adapting and following the procurement procedures of the company.
• Negotiation of deals with suppliers.
• Research of materials and inventory.
• Checks into current inventory and materials.
• Working closely with commercial team to achieve best prices for all projects.
• Attending company meeting

Requirements for Buyer

• Strong IT and Microsoft office skills.
• Knowledge and experience of the civil engineering sector.
• Knowledge on logging information within an internal system.
• Work well within a team.
• Able to travel to Portsmouth daily.
• Right to work in the UK.
